Kayte Pearsall
Level 4 Stylist
As stylists, what we do behind the chair is more meaningful than just applying color or giving someone a stylish cut. Don’t get me wrong, I have a passion and desire for making things pretty. I have been in love with and have been thriving in this industry since 1999. But one of the things I love the most about being a stylist is taking the time to cultivate personal connections with our clients. Listening to and facilitating their hair desires, hair needs and goals. It’s about being the person they trust with one of the most important parts of their physical being. Putting a smile on their face and watching as the leave with a little bit more pep in their step. But also helping them celebrate life’s achievements and being an ear or shoulder while they withstand life’s trials. One of my mentors once told me that 70% of what we do as stylists is about communication, and only 30% is about the actual artisan work. I try to follow that philosophy in the customer service I provide for my clients every day.
