Kim Campbell

Level 4 Nail Technition

Kim Campbell - God created an innate desire and passion within all of us. I have been privileged enough to be in a career where my passion has been fed. The beauty and personal service industry is a place where those who want to meet the needs of others, can flourish! Being a professional nail technician allows an individual to sit face to face with a person and create a beautiful picture, on the blank canvas of their hands, all while building a bond through personal touch and service. When you hold someone’s hands for 45 minutes, a relationship forms, even without recognizing it at times. The service provider and client are able to grow. The nail industry hit NC in the mid-’80s. It opened a whole new layer to the beauty industry! I was graduating high school and thought it would be a great thing to do while I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. My mom, several aunts, and cousins were already established as cosmetologists. 34 years later, I’m still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I have been truly blessed to have been a part of such a wonderful industry. It always changing and never becomes stagnate, it continually moves forward. Many people say, how can nail polish be that inviting? Well, I guess to some, it’s not, but to the mother who reminiscences of the day her daughter walked down the aisle, wearing industry leader OPI’s Bubble Bath, or the grandmother who says she found out the gender of her first grandchild because her daughter wore, It’s A Boy! That is why. A nail technician journey’s through life is amazing being able to connect with their client, milestone after milestone. We get to feed our passion, and we serve others. Again, what a privilege to be part of such an incredible industry!
